Questions about the Starlite Family Fun Center® Family Entertainment Franchise Program
What is provided as part of the Starlite Family Fun Center franchise system?
As you’re starting your family entertainment franchise, we will provide up to five days of basic business training, plus an additional three weeks of operations training to you or your general manger. This initial training is held at our corporate facilities. We will spend seven days assisting your on-site at your location around the time of your business launch. We’ll also present you with a copy of our confidential operations manual to help you run your business properly on a day-to-day basis, and we’ll be there to provide remote support, answer questions, and provide ongoing guidance
What experience do I need to become a Starlite Family Fun Center franchise owner?
We do not require you to have prior experience in the family entertainment industry; we can teach you what you need to know to run your Starlite Family Fun Center business. We are primarily seeking single-unit, start-up franchise owners who will be hands-on operators, and who can learn the Starlite Family Fun Center system and develop a strong operations team within their franchised business. Also, we have a program option for existing roller skating or family entertainment businesses that wish to convert to the Starlite Family Fun Center system; financial incentives are available for conversion franchisees. Above all, we expect franchise owners or their operating partners to have great sales, customer relations, and supervisory skills; solid business management experience; and a strong and honest work ethic
How much will the Starlite Family Fun Center franchise investment cost me?
The projected initial investment range for a single start-up franchise ranges between from $1,421,000 to $1,748,500. This investment amount includes an initial franchise fee of $50,000. As with any new business venture, it’s important that you have the capital needed to adequately fund your new business. We look for candidates with minimum liquidity of about $500,000, and a minimum net worth of $3,000,000 or greater.
Are there other ongoing fees paid to the franchisor?
Franchisees will pay a royalty rate of 6% of gross sales, plus monthly technology fees estimated at about $300 per month. These fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of services, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades
Are there any advertising fees?
You must spend a minimum of 2% of gross revenues toward local marketing within your territory. And, you will be required to contribute up to 1% of gross margin revenues into the system marketing fund. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Starlite Family Fun Center brand and fund the creative costs to develop local franchise marketing materials and campaigns.
Is financing available?
We do not offer direct financing to franchisees. We may be able to provide references to qualified financing or lending resources, on a case-by-case basis.
What is the term of the franchise agreement?
The initial term of your franchise agreement is ten years with three additional successor agreement options of five years each.
